I know we haven’t been posting much here, and we’re days behind, but it’s been pretty busy around here. We’re actually (mostly) all packed up now and we’re be headed to the airport soon. Perhaps back in Canada with some more time, we’ll be able to get some blog work done, but for now… one insanely long travel day awaits.
Well…after going to the beach I am sunburned and look like a radish. (Could be worse; Rach looks like a radish that spent too much time in the Sauna) As such, I’m not in the mood to write about my day. So suffer with the, this is what Maki has spent too much money on during the trip! Ain’t you lucky?
If there’s one thing that happens here more than North America it’s experimentation. I find it hard to believe that I’d be able to find banana and marshmallows on pizza in Canada. Or corn. Or giant slices of potato and bacon. I think we really aught to change that, since all of these combinations totally kick butt and deserve to be eaten outside of this little island country. Wow, this precut has nothing to do with what I’ll talk about first after you click that little read more. How misleading of me.
Up again, another early morning and it’s off to the train. (if you want to know what we bought in Japan, train tickets is the number 1 answer!) What was in store for today? Another magical journey, but not to the land of Disney, but the land of Miyazaki!
Day 2 was another hot and humid day in Japan. We were up early and ready to head out to many neat places today. Including the multifloor anime store in Ikebukuro.
First full day in Japan and were going to spend it reliving our childhoods in the Magical Land of Disney…Tokyo. Up bright and early, so we can beat the rush, it was off to the train where we rode to Tokyo, switched trains and headed towards Disney Land.
The train system in Japan is something else. Remind me to ramble about that later. But for now…

So, we finally had time to look for an adapter for the two to three prong plug in–and found one. (YAY!) Found one in an … me thinks it was 8 floor tall electronics store called Bic hmm…I forget the next word. But that’s okay, Ikebukuro is for another entry. It’s time to play some catch up, starting with the ever so grueling:
Day 0 - TRAVEL DAY
So after an incredibly long day of travel, we’ve arrived in our Tokyo Apartment. Been up for almost 24 hours now, and I gotta say, I’m feeling it. (and prob really shouldn’t be attempting to form coherent sentences)
Anyways.. the hiccup.. well, while we have internet at the apartment, it turns out there’s only 2 prong plugs. My laptop, unfortuatly, uses a 3 prong. So all I have is my measly 3 hours or so of battery life, and that’s it until we can come up with a solution.
So that’s it until we figure that out. I’m hopin we can figure something out, cause it would suck to have dragged my laptop all the way to Japan for it to become mostly useless.
I leave home tomorrow at 500AMish! And then it’s off to the airport and off to Japan! Rach and I will update the blog often, so keep an eye out! See you all in two weeks!
